Active and adventure tourism in Tui, Pontevedra

VerdeAzul Aventuras is a small team of professional outdoors adventure guides focused on kayaking, cycling and rafting tours. We are all people linked to the Minho river and water sports since 1986. For us, the river is a place for meeting, for leisure, for sport, for relaxing. Let´s join us!

Verdeazul Aventuras is based in Tui, in the heart of the Low Minho Valley. We run kayak and cycling trips along the Minho river and through its valley. These range from kayak or bike hire to full day trips enjoying the stunning scenery around the Minho river, natural border line with Portugal, ideal to get the best of both countries all at once!.
Kayaking is one of the best ways to experience Galician wildlife. This allows you to get close to nature. River birds and other river wildlife seem to tolerate a kayak more than any other powered craft, permiting some amazing wildlife encounters. We propose different options such as kayaking, walking or cycling, and it is up to touch! Whatever your election, you are going to spend a nice day with your family, your gang or just on your own.

There is no need to spend a lot of money to discover a new country. Your suitcase only has to be full of positive energy and desire to explore something new. Southern Galicia has a lot to offer. All you have to do is to truly want to discover it. Choose the itinerary which best fits your schedule, adapt it to your needs, including lunch, kid’s gears… and book it now!!

VERDEAZUL ADVENTURES STATION

VerdeAzul Aventures Station is located in the heart of Tui. Take a nice walk down the path which leads to the river under the old International bridge and you will get to our wooden house very quickly. (next to centers of the rowing and canoeing local clubs). This is the meeting point for most of our activities. There you can also rent a bike or a paddle board to have a nice paddling on the flatwater Minho river and expirence from the natural border line the stunning scenery of two medieval villages, Tui (Spain) and Valença do Minho (Portugal).

FAQs

Many people do not have the time to enjoy a full-day activity. It’s as simple as: how much time do you have? What is your plan? Relax, to explore, fishing, to have a good time with the family, to do sport …? Tell us what you need and we will advise you with the best route.
All necessary equipment (kayak, shovel, vest, a watertight boat) and the lift to the exit point of the route; Bring some sandwiches, the camera and a bottle of water and you will spend an unforgettable day.

“NONE. We design routes for users of all levels. In most cases, our clients go kayaking for the first time with us. Kayaking is very simple, with the help of our instructors, you will feel comfortable and prepared to paddle with ease. It is highly recommended to know how to swim.”

Your safety is our priority. Many people ask us “Does it tip over?”, but once they try them they are surprised at how extremely stable they are.

Our base is in Galicia, located in the north of Spain, specifically in the Baixo Miño area (Tui – Pontevedra), bordering Portugal. The weather here is fabulous, with many warm and sunny days. Come prepared to take a dip! However, don’t forget that we belong to the green coastal Spain, so the possibility of rain is always present.

“We enjoy activities more when we are comfortable, dry, and warm. Summer in Galicia is very pleasant, with average temperatures of 24 degrees, but you should be prepared to get wet (splashes, wading…) anyway, you’ll feel much more at ease if you follow our recommendations and bring the appropriate clothing. Synthetic garments are the best – polypropylene, capillary, etc. – insulating and quick-drying fabrics.”

Our clients are active and open-minded people. We focus on being part of the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is created, and you do the rest. Lonely travelers, couples, families, and groups of friends from all over the world come to us.

We recommend a minimum age of 10 for most routes. If you have young children, they can also participate by sitting in the middle of a double kayak.

There are no reasons to prevent you from participating if you come alone! Contact us and we will tell you how to do it. A minimum number of participants is not required for kayaking.

Experience. Quality. Service. Safety. Integrity. These are some of the most powerful reasons why we choose one company over another. The distinction of Verdeazul regarding the standards of these categories is what sets us apart from other operators.
